Fact Sheet - Company History

Quick Facts

Realityworks was founded as Baby Think It Over, Inc., in 1994 by Rick and Mary Jurmain.
In 1999, the company expanded to include substance abuse education products, and was renamed BTIO Educational Products, Inc.
In 2003, the company was given its current name, Realityworks, Inc.
Since 2003, Realityworks has expanded its product line beyond the Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum to include the health industry, social services agencies, and youth organizations.
Company Slogan: Creating life-changing experiences through technology and standards-based curriculum since 1994.

Products

TimeMAPS™ Money Management & Life Skills Program, an interactive software and curriculum for Personal Finance.
RealCare® Baby, a lifelike infant simulator that teaches proper infant care and provides detailed reports on baby’s care.
Pregnancy Profile®, a vest that simulates the third trimester of pregnancy.
Shaken Baby Syndrome Simulator™, an electric infant model that demonstrates the traumatic brain injuries caused by abuse.
Drug-Affected Demonstrator, an electronic mannequin that simulates the smaller size, warbled cry and withdrawal tremors of an actual drug-affected infant.
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Manikin, a model that represents an infant with limb and facial deformities typical of severe FAS victims.
ySTART™ Program, a smoking prevention program for young people that simulates an addiction experience and teaches skills to remain tobacco-free.
